Seems they didn't poll the gubernatorial race, that's a shame. Well, I know some people will try to say that PPP is a "Democratic internal", but this is exactly in line with other polls. This race is not competitive.

It is basically a D internal, but PPP is known to practice herding in the past, which could be why their  polls, even though conducted for Dems, look like other polls. That said, I don't really expect this race to go any other way. Maybe Vukmir can get 44%, who knows, but she's probably not going to win.

Makes you wonder why they didn't poll WI-GOV. Afraid of what they might found out? Wink

When has PPP been known to practice herding? They have some of the most consistent numbers in the business.

Please stop. It's getting old. Tony Evers is more likely to win than Walker. Deal with it!

That, in and of itself, is suggestive of herding.

Here's PPP's email to me:

"Thanks for reaching out about our PPP poll in WI. Unfortunately, we did not poll the governors race. We saw there were multiple polls covering that particular race and decided to focus our attention on the Senate."

Really, they chose to poll the less competitive race? PPP sucks.

Literally every poll that polled the gubernatorial race also polled the Senate race, so this sounds like a BS excuse to me.

There aren't that many polls of WI-GOV, and the two recent polls show very different results. Also, WI-GOV is much more competitive than WI-SEN, so if anything, they should poll WI-GOV instead of WI-SEN.

Yeah, it's total BS. PPP is just not a trustworthy source at this point.

My tinfoil hat theory is that their poll showed an underwhelming result for Evers.

I still expect Evers to easily win, though.

Not really tinfoil. It seems to be the most likely explanation that their client wanted those numbers withheld for whatever reason. Maybe Walker was leading, or maybe they didn't want to make Evers look bad by showing him underperforming Baldwin by 8-10 points. Who knows.
