Senator Jon Corzine - 49%
Doug Forrester - 40%
Corzine leads in new Rasmussen poll
A new Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday morning shows Democrat Jon Corzine with a nine point lead over Republican Doug Forrester in the race for Governor of New Jersey. Corzine leads 49%-40%, up from the 7-point, 45%-38% lead in an october 14 survey. 41% of voters have a favorable impression of Forrester while 31% have an unfavorable opinion.
For Corzine, the numbers are 41% favorable and 41% unfavorable.
Nearly four out of ten New Jerseyans (39%) said they had seen the debate or read news coverage of it. Among those were familiar with the debate, 34% thought Forrester won while 29% said Corzine was better. (10/20/05)
