I am a sort of a clairvoyant, and last night I had a dream : Trump drops out, Haley runs to win in a landslide. Cannot help sharing this inner knowledge with fellow forumers.

So what was Trump's mission as you called in previous posts, what happened to his VP, etc.?

I think there's some chance that Trump is the lightning rod for a while more, and then declines to run for re-election, which hurts the Democrats, because they're so focused on going after just Trump.

You all do realize that the Trump 2020 campaign is already active right?

Trump's mission, as I see it now, is to pave the way for the first female president.

Then why did he campaign so aggressively in 2016, why didn't he just let Hillary have it? Why would he be willing to give it to another woman?

This is God's plan, to get such a misogynist as Trump to pave the way for the first in US history female president.

But you missed the point, if Trump hadn't campaigned as aggressively as he did (rallies multiple times a day, very little sleep), he would've already lost to Hillary in 2016, thus there would already be a female president. So why didn't Trump stand down in 2016 in the first place if that was the intended goal?

Translation: I have no explanation to throwing logic away, so I'll just use big words.

And this, folks, is actually a perfect thread to simulate religion Tongue

I can't explain God's work, I can only verbalize what I see.

I had a dream that Nikki Haley became the lobbyist she was destined to be and faded from the spotlight, finally making everyone shut up about her for good.

I think someone (Adrian Vermuele?) actually suggested this on Twitter recently. Maybe you were subliminally influenced.

If Trump declined to run and endorsed Haley, she would start at an incredible advantage. But I don't see that happening.

I hope you understand the difference between "suggested" and "saw".
Trump will not endorse Haley, he will refer to his bad health though actually his approval rating will be less than 30% and he will have no chances to get nominated.

You will lose. I was the only person in the world to correctly predict Trump win with 30% margin in 2016.

It would be nice to have a first female president but anyone but Haley please! Like literally any woman other than her. She is the most annoying overhyped person I've ever seen.

She won't run in 2020... But she will be a Senator by the end of 2018. Its a win-win-win for Graham-Haley-Trump... with no drawbacks (scenario below).

I would bet a lot...

that she and Graham (and Trump) have worked out an agreement.  Graham will take a cabinet position- lately it seems likely to be Secretary of Defense.  Haley will be appointed Senator, but will not run for the Full Term in 2020.  She will just fulfill her place holder- and will get out so she can announce her Presidential Bid in 2022 (without looking too opportunistic of running for President 2 years after winning a Senate election).

One reason to resign from UN early... is it will be more palatable for her to be appointed Senator if she is living back in SC (even for a month or so), and not moving directly from one appointment to another. By resigning is looks more like she is done with her UN service and wanted to move back to her home state, etc.

Graham gets a 2 year hiatus in a major Cabinet position, then get to go back to his Senate seat.  Haley gets to add Senator to her Governor/ UN Ambassador resume, and Trump gets a Cabinet Secretary he has some control over & gets a strong potential candidate in 2024 (in case he wins re-election, he will want his successor to be a Republican- which will look like a victory for his presidency.  And he knows/ thinks ... that Haley will be much strong candidate than Mike Pence).

This is very plausible.

Interesting speculation but not plausible at all

I wouldn't be shocked if Trump didn't run in 2020, but I doubt Haley would be the nominee.  She may well be a VP nominee, however; she's the Trump appointee whose stock has gone up the most since being appointed.
