Usually its consistent bad faith arguments, extreme hyperbole, and unabashed partisan hackery that earns a poster a place on my ignore list. You have terrible views imo but aren't literally just posting that people who disagree with you are racist Nazi Hitlers, evil murderers, or inbred hillbillies. You arent flooding the forum with threads about randos doing something bad and claiming therefore all who think the same are bad. You arent pointing out bad Republicans any time criticism is directed at Democrats while simultaneously claiming any reference to Democrat bad behavior in a discussion of bad Republicans is illegitimate "bothsidism". Its not like im intolerant of people who think differently than me, im intolerant of assholes who think differently than me. I get along with plenty of lefty loos on here.

Plus I mean, several on this list have literally called me a murderer or racist or some other uncalled for insult. Unless you are doing it in Discord or the 90% of this forum I dont read I don't recall ever reading that from you.

I suppose that is fair. Although on the very last point, some of those comments I believe would have merit given what you may have said at the time.

No, it's not about disagreeing with someone's posts. It's about someone's posts adding no value to the forum. Better for my sanity to just ignore people who comment the same garbage all the time with no evidence of progression or improvement. Basically, if your whole shtick is (looking at my list) being an unabashed Trump cheerleader excusing all of his faults as "wins", a lolbertarian cringelord, or a NeverBernie troll, you aren't worthy of my attention.

I have often wondered about the degree of the nexus between these published ignore lists and reality. Color me skeptical. How can one read a thread if a substantial number of posters on it are on your ignore list? It is as if some posters are fantasizing about a "culture culture" gone wild. By the way, that term is one of the few in the lexicon of modern argot with which I find favor. In contradistinction, I am going to wage war on the term "woke," until it assumes the same fate as Carthage after Rome was done with the place, but instead of using  salt to seal the deal, I was thinking of ricin.

At some point you move into what is, in truth, gibberish—but I have an answer that might satisfy.

A significant amount of people here are here for the purpose of either playing a game or discussions on election information. Actually being here to be widened in knowledge isn’t as popular as one might think. So, considering that these posters don’t like them and view their opinions elsewhere on election stuff as not pertinent enough, they go on the ignore list. There’s also the equally valid answer that some are embellishing their lists with a few more for the sweet taste of seeing recommendations, which is also quite valid.
