Anyone who's ignore list is longer than a few posters is literally a child.  The only excuse is if you're some 20-year Atlas veteran who still has trolls from the 2004 election on ignore.

Blocking/ignoring people is a power fantasy for people who want the serotonin rush that comes with enacting petty vengeance upon someone they dislike. Having people on ignore makes your user experience extremely irritating, and you'll always be paranoid that people are talking about you if you can't read their posts. It ultimately just ends up creating more work for the person with a long ignore list, because they'll be constantly clicking "show post."

If your skin is that thin perhaps.

AFAIC, if you're on my ignore list, you're a waste of space whose content only detracts from everyone elses.

In such a case, I'm not gonna click "show post" or gaf about what someone says about me by that point. In such a case I'm done with you.

Mine's still empty, but worth noting Green Line has been temp ignored on at least three occasions for going off the rails in some threads, and is the only poster to make it on there more than once.

Beet (during GA-06 special election, because of racial slurs) and another poster back in 2016 who was making 10 posts in a row in the primary threads (don't recall who) were the only others to be temp muted.

You def gotta clean up your list, considering you got not only folxs on the list that are either banned or don't post no mo', but also appear to have a few PUB Avatars on your list, such as jimrtex & Buzz, whom at minimum might be worthy of a reconsideration, because generally solid PUB posters regardless of "Echo Chamber Atlas", not to mention a few others who might have recently gone of the rails, but still might be capable of rehabilitation in an Atlas "detention center pending good conduct".

Don't go off the rails man.... totally not against the street movement scene (Been there done that in the late '80s / '90s / early '00s).

Think clearly and solidly and don't ignore people just bcs you might have had some beef in the past. I don't have no "cancel culture" in the Mfg Factory where I work, and although I gotta be careful discussing politics, there are aspects of the Trump Program that meet with support and opposition alike, as our factory jobs got shipped overseas by DEM & PUB Presidents, Senators, and US REPs alike only a few Years after Ronald Reagan had effectively destroyed the Union Movement in the USA.


Atlas / TE Old Skool members generally a chill crowd, although sometimes we wrangle a bit and get OTT with vendettas and grudges which make the whole Hatfiled-McCoy rivalry looking some piss-ant Country Western film from the '50s > '70s, especially when everyone gets mad on the juice.

At some point you move into what is, in truth, gibberish—but I have an answer that might satisfy.

A significant amount of people here are here for the purpose of either playing a game or discussions on election information. Actually being here to be widened in knowledge isn’t as popular as one might think. So, considering that these posters don’t like them and view their opinions elsewhere on election stuff as not pertinent enough, they go on the ignore list. There’s also the equally valid answer that some are embellishing their lists with a few more for the sweet taste of seeing recommendations, which is also quite valid.
