The only person I would consider ignoring is James Monroe. Not only vitriolic in tone, but also deluded himself into thinking he's speaking for all black women as a generic Delaware guy. Olawakandi is a gem at who I find myself laughing many times, same with Santander assuming he's a troll.

As for me, nobody, although I do accidentally click on it about once a month when trying to quote, and as a result I sometimes I have users on ignore for a couple of hours or days and then realize what I do

It's a pretty sad state of affairs. For months now, my ignore list has been full due to the sheer number of Nazis prancing around these days, along with the usual braindead idiots and hacks who I ignore to preserve my mental health.

I still reserve my rights as a proud Grandson of a WW II Active Service Veteran to occasionally throw a metaphorical grenade into the Pill Boxes and Trenches to suppress enemy fire from any potential invasion of Atlas from Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists from the Dark Corners of the Internet, which will invade our fair land....   

Fortunately, the overwhelmingly majority of us are too sharp to subscribe to their agenda, so any such attempted invasions are extremely limited, and usually involve a bit of a "reeducation camp" as we either force them to conform, or give them a swift kick in the butt out the door....

For me it's not about safe spaces;  I have no problem with opposing viewpoints.  But when a poster demonstrates over time that they add zero or negative value to discussions, I ignore them to prevent wasting my time reading their stuff.  They're not automatically entitled to my attention.

Same goes for me.  I don't normally put people on ignore unless they're white noise posters, trolls, or extreme edgelords like Yellowhammer.  I admit I'm biased in that I'm more likely to ignore the far-right edgelords here than the far-left ones, but I don't like echo chambers and it's not as fun to post on political forums where the vast majority of people already agree with you.

Plus, about half if not most of the people I ignore usually end up leaving or getting banned, so I think my judgment is pretty sound.

Using the ignore list is nothing more than surrendering into a safe space. If a poster is ignoring other posters because he or she doesn't like their views challenged, that poster is the problem, not the people he or she is ignoring.

I didn't ignore HillGoose because I disagree with him (although I do nearly 100% of the time). I ignore him because he says sh**t like "nah brah," which is annoying af. Since he never says anything remotely productive to these conversations, I felt no reason to subject myself to the mild annoyance.

Yeah, but he's a forum institution now, so we're not allowed to ignore him.
