Elie Wiesel was a good man who represented the resilience of the Jewish community in the aftermath of one of the world's worst genocides. He deserves to be honored.

I’m not questioning his merits, I just don’t see why valuable bandwidth is being wasted on Romanian monuments.

Oh come on Sanchez. This is basically a cry for help. Just come out as alt-right and be done with it.
Let's rephrase it this way: would you care if they erected a statue of, say, Gandhi or Mother Theresa or Nelson Mandela in the capital city of Uzbekistan, would it get it's own thread?
