How come no "Kavanaugh energy" for Hugin?

He actually went down relative to other previous polls

Seems pretty clear that reactions to Kavanaugh are spatially polarized.

Hugin didn't make any statement supporting Kavanaugh (except a tepid one when everything appeared over). He's not really aligned with the Trump people in NJ, despite Menendez's attacks. He's relying on independents.

This is also the one semi-competitive race where Trump and Kavanaugh by extension are clearly not popular.

Do you really think NJ voters are even aware he didnt put out such a statement?

The strong Trump supporters, who are the sort of people who would give him such a bump, certainly are. They don't like Hugin much at all.

If anyone got a bump, it was Menendez, and that was to be expected.

Because by and large..nobody cares or notices this whole Kavanugh fiasco. Neither in blue states like NJ or red states like TX

I get why the blue avatars are pushing it....since their desperate for any bit of good news to distract from the impending midterm disaster

You and me both. It's going to be very satisfying seeing all that money and false hope spent for nothing on November 6.

I wish all of these Democrats in NJ - who we know are immensely enlightened and reasonable - would give up the partisanship and vote against Mendendez due to his corruption.  I know, I know, it would go against their political positions, but they're the reasonable party.

I expected more of you, NJ Dems.

I don’t blame them for voting for Menendez in the general election (a vote for Hugin is a vote to make McConnell majority leader, after all), but I expected more of them in the primary. Oh well, not really.

I mean, his primary "opponent" was a literal some chick without a campaign and still got like 40% of the vote, so...

But yeah, it is sad and beyond pathetic that no serious Democrat stepped up to challenge him, as they would've won easily, both the primary and the general.

I'll give Tom the benefit of the doubt here and assume he wasn't trying to compare Menendez's garden variety corruption with Moore's pedophilia in that post.
