Maine needs to kick her faux-moderate ass out of that seat in 2020.

Rs however any tough vote they take voters will 100% remember and punish them for the next time they're up

No Rs payed any political price for stealing a SCOTUS seat and the GOP held the Senate in what was a very favourable map for Dems.

The same will happen with this Kavanaugh fiasco

However, the Senate nver voted to deny Garland a hearing. That was McConnell and Grassley's decision.

Collins were close to Bushes and Kavanaugh went to Yale Law School with Dubya, she was always an affirmative vote and rely on affirming ACA as a way to defend herself

Why is Collin's trying to convince everybody Kavanaugh is O'Connor 2.0?

None of this will make any difference and will all be forgotten about a week from now. Nobody will win or lose an election based off of how they voted for Kavanaugh

What if McCaskill or Donnelly lose

Both are very vulnerable regardless. You could come up with multiple reasons why either could lose that dont involve the SCOTUS.

Time to bring a Roe case before the Court by 2020. Collins will be proven wrong.

This speech by Collins is completely unnecessary.  She should have just announced her vote with little fanfare.  She's just repeating talking points.  Very damaging to her brand, IMO.

I definitely agree with Collins that the standard should be more likely than not

Yeah I don't understand that either. She's not helping her case.

If it was that for the assault and not beyond a reasonable doubt I'd have to say Kavanaugh did it and so shouldn't be confirmed.

If they lose then they were always going to lose regardless of Kavanaugh

Well if they lose by less than 2% maybe Kavanaugh made the difference.

But there is no corroboration from the main witnesses

At least this helps building Democratic enthusiasm for the midterms. They must win big.

Well who would remember an ordinary party from 36 years ago? Blasey Ford can remember a traumatic event but most people wouldn't remember if they didn't notice, and those that were involved are part of the assault and so have an incentive to deny it.

I agree. This will help Dems more than the GOP.

Anger is a better motivator than satisfaction.

This.

"Reasonable" conservatives keep trying to have it both ways. If you don't believe her...whatever. But don't gives us this BS about believing her and then voting BK.
