So, yeah, I think there is a problem with Holmes county as the reported vote for two precincts, Durant St. Anderson and Beat 2 Durant seem impossibly low.  Unlike Louisiana which maintains a separate "precinct" in each county for Early and Absentee voting, I believe Mississippi merges absentee voting in with each precinct on the official report.  The vote totals for those two precincts seem impossibly low compared to the 2018 election, leading me to believe that instead of adding the absentee vote to the election day vote, they merely reported the absentee vote for those two precincts.

Alright, Holmes is fixed too.  It's final vote is 5347-1037-16-40

If you add the results of all 3 Governors races together, then Republicans win by 700 votes:

1.897.200 votes Rs
1.896.500 votes Ds

Tongue

With the Hinds and Holmes updates, plus a tiny adjustment in Louisiana, at this moment, the D vote is about 400 votes ahead of the R vote.

The MS SoS has still not added together the results of the 82 counties, but I have (those results in the chart below are already updated with the corrected Hinds and Holmes numbers):

51.91% Tate Reeves (R) - 459.396 votes
46.83% Jim Hood (D) - 414.368 votes
  0.96% David Singletary (I) - 8.522 votes
  0.30% Bob Hickingbottom (C) - 2.625 votes

Total votes: 884.911

Compared with election night (vvv), Hood gained about 14.300 votes and Reeves about 10.600 extra votes.

5% difference in favor of Republican candidate would be considered to be quite an achievement for any Democratic candidate in Mississippi, but .... Hood. He got people accustomed to his rather convincing victories...

Dems are still down 2,500 on the Wiki page. Are the results not certified yet?
