*Rubs hands together in a villainous fashion* Yes, Mr. President. Keep alienating voters in this vital swing state.

The conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court actually rules against Walker:

Are unions dropping the Big Bucks for Mitchell on the airwaves yet?

Nothing about Mitchell anywhere, he's really a nobody to the state so he's not going to actually win much over 1% of the vote.

Barrett running for a 5th term in 2020, much better than Zielinski (scum) and Hamilton who will rake in black vote.

Hooboy. I didn't think they'd start admitting they aren't keeping their side of the deal so soon. Hopefully this gets coverage,  because Foxconn has voters of all stripes riled up.

Also, I'm a bit bummed Wachs dropped out,  but hopefully his supporters will go for Vinehout. We need someone who is progressive but not a Madison/Milwaukee native. Outstate dems already feel abandoned and unimportant. If someone like Evers (or, God forbid, Soglin) gets the nod, some of those outstate dems and anti-Walker independents will stay home.

Evers has lived all over Wisconsin. He was born in Plymouth, studied in Madison, and worked in Tomah, Oakfield, Verona and Oshkosh before moving to Madison to become Deputy Superintendent.

Right,  but he is very much seen as being Madisonian. I have no issues with him but he will frustrate outstate voters who feel like Madison only cares about Madison,  which is a lot of the reason Walker has done as "well" electorally as he has. I grew up in rural Minnesota and now live in Madison. The rural/ urban divide is a huge deal and we have to stop ignoring it or we won't get anywhere.

Evers and Mitchell are the frontrunners.

Evers has no charisma, he is a typical white Midwestern Democrat.

However, this race is still a tossup.

I believe I've had a change of heart, and I think I'm switching my support over to Mitchell.

Mitchell hands the race to Walker on a silver platter. Guaranteed loss if he's nominated.

Disagreed. Mitchell doesn't have the scandals that Evers has; look at the headlines for Evers right now. Mitchell is a newer, younger face that will actually turn people out. Evers is a snooze.

They’ll endorse Walker again like normal. He’ll just be there black Milwaukee liberal union thug socialist. He has no real base, won’t even make it out of the primary thank God but he’ll get a few hundred more votes in Milwaukee but lose more out west.

I actually think Mitchell would do just as good as Evers for one reason. AA turnout. WI did not flip for Trump just because of the Driftless and WWC, though it did help, in fact, Trump got less votes there than Mitt did 4 years ago. Rather, it was due to a monumental decrease in D numbers.
2012(nearest thousand)
D-1,621,000
R-1,408,000
2016
D-1,383,000(-238,000)
R-1,405,000(-3,000)
One of the reasons for this was AA turnout in the cities of Milwaukee and Madison. This chart shows this phenomenon.

Mitchell would be able to get these voters out and tip the scale in the Ds favor. Its also important to note his platform appeals to union workers and WWC, and so he could be seen as a hero for them, especially if he highlights his roots. Though I dont think he wins the primary(it appears Evers has that), he would still be a top tier candidate.

Exactly. However, I'd be very hesitant to say Evers is likely to win the primary. The most recent poll had Evers at 25%, with 47% undecided (counting out candidates who have dropped out). Evers is remarkably uninspiring and dull, and Mitchell is not. If Mitchell makes the final push he needs in the final month, there's no reason he can't win.

TMJ4 & UW Milwaukee Host Democratic Gubernatorial Debate, July 12, 2018

Video starts around 3 minutes in.

Included Tony Evers, Matt Flynn, Mike McCabe, Mahlon Mitchell, Josh Pade, Kelda Helen Roys, Paul R. Soglin, and Kathleen Vinehout.

My biggest frustration with all of this was the major question-avoidance.
