This might be a Tilt D race, tbh. Lol at the people who thought Iowa is unwinnable for Democrats after 2016.

Excellent, looks like the IA governorship may finally be ours, all because Trump made the invincible titan Branstad ambassador to China!

Embarrassingly, I used to be one of those people (and people on Atlas can attest to that).

Yeah, Iowa is starting to look like a better pickup opportunity than Ohio at this rate. It looks like that state is really swinging against republicans in general.

And yeah, lol at the "safe R Iowa" takes after 2016.

Toss up, as expected. This should surprise nobody considering Reynolds was only up 5 when Hubbell was just a some dude.

Yeah, it's not sure to flip by any means, but this, combined with Blum looking DOA and Young looking to be in trouble makes it pretty clear that people declared Iowa a solid red state way too soon. This definitely looks more likely to flip than OH-GOV, though it's still a Toss-Up.

Should note that only 9% of likely voters are undecided, 7% say they are supporting Libertarian Jake Porter.

Calling now, Branstad will be inspired to run again in 2022 and hold office for an additional 4 terms.

The incumbent governor at 41% is hardly encouraging for Iowa Republicans.

*A poll from a well respected Iowa pollster shows an incumbent Republican down 2 and at 41%*

Never change, Bagel.

Anyway, freedom poll.  The GOP's Midwestern reckoning is happening right before our eyes!

How long before hofoid comes in and states that this is bad news for Iowa Dems because Hubbell is only up by 2, and Iowans will realize Dems only care about gays in WeHo and affluent Atlanta and OC housewives?

Really wouldn’t be surprised to see Iowa become a Democratic trifecta at this rate with its congressional delegation ending up 3D - 1R.

Based off Iowa’s swingy history, it shouldn’t have been counted out in the first place.

Clinton did poorly against Sanders and it's an ethenol state with Tobacco farmers with WI and Bill Clinton sued Tobacco farmers in the 1990's.
