Excellent work!   I sense "AtlasWiki" coming soon to a Forum near you.... Wink

Even seasoned Atlas posters frequently need to dig for this data....

I guess one item to consider:

Adding a link to all official Statewide election websites that have a "broad-banded" archive of historical elections.

Even seasoned Atlas posters, sometimes spend an inordinate amount of time just trying to navigate the various complexities of State Election offices, just trying to pull whatever historical data is available at a Statewide level, even before we start to dip into County, let alone precinct level data...

The intent here would be to have the default link to go to when one is on the quest to find official election results, recognizing that the decentralized nature of the US electoral reporting system is that we might go to one of these State sites and be able to grab entire precinct files for an entire state in only a minute for an entire election data set, and in other cases, we might be stuck with much more limited data, but still might well provide data not available elsewhere.

It took me about 30-40 minutes to pull this list together, but it will likely save me hours later on, not to mention thousands of hours for the collective Atlas community downstream.

I don't pretend that every single one of these sites is the best, but for the most part, they are likely the place to start when delving into the official online data sets available from a Statewide level, but that is the advantage from AtlasSourcing.... we are collectively representing every State in the Union, so if there is a better official port of departure for a given state, throw it out there!!!!....

You just saved me a google search everytime I seek this information.

What do you think about the new post update? Anything else worth adding?

I do have some various other links for places with larger dumps of precinct level data, but not quite ready to play "show and tell" yet....

Thinking maybe we should add some links for sites add provide extremely valuable and detailed drill-down data for Social Demographics as well, have a few favorites on my list that I source often.... Smiley

Love the library concept going on here.... Smiley
