Yes, because we don't know all the details. It isn't worth letting a possibly guilty man have an important job like that.

No, I think it's too soon for that.  Let's see how credible Ms. Ford's testimony is compared to his, and then the Senate should cast judgment.

Of course. He can also join his old boss Kozinski in the retirement circle and resign from the DC Circuit once it becomes clear Ford isn't some Democratic Party sleeper cell.

There's literally no proof of this whatsoever, and it's frightening to see Atlas posters fall into this hysterical mob mentality.

Let’s have them both testify first. I wouldn’t mind Trump nominating someone else though.

It's frightening to see Americans fall into this mob mentality. Yet they always have. It's completely grotesque. We can only hope for schadenfreude in the form of their name and career being tainted by absurd allegations.

Have you ever wondered if he was, you know, innocent of these charges?

Accusations from decades ago aren't strong arguments, when suddenly brought up from out of the blue. Was there a report to authorities? Can multiple witnesses corroborate your story? Or...did you make something up because you hate Trump/want attention?

Yes, he should.

The fact that Republicans think he should stay shows how craven and tribalistic they are. Barrett and Hardiman will all vote the same way Kavanaugh would and neither have the unnecessary baggage.

She spoke with her husband about it in 2002 and her therapist took notes on it in 2012.

I'd like to see testimony first, but overall, he is always going to be tainted by this, and he was already a flawed nominee to begin with.

It's bad enough Thomas was confirmed to the bench. Putting another justice on there who may be guilty of attempted rape is going to hurt the Supreme Court's reputation even more. The Republican Party, America, the Supreme Court - everyone (except BK) - would be better off if Republicans went with someone else.

Are you really surprised that they are doing this though? Since when do democrats need so much as a shred of proof to carry out a character assassination?

Since always. Democrats are far more sincere about stuff like this than their counterparts in ant other party.

Friendly reminder:

This. Is. Not. A. Trial.

"Innocent until proven guilty" has no bearing on this whatsoever.
