*pandaguineapig approves*
Cool any evidence for this, anything that suggests the FBI was wrong to dismiss this?
There is nothing "cool" about anything in that tweet.

is it possible that the FBI dismissed it because of the statute of limitations?

Yeah, it is bull****.

FBI treated Kavanaugh the same way they treated Rob Porter. Which is they added the allegation to the files concerning his background check.

The notion that they "dismissed" it is wishful thinking by blue hacks.

I have a feeling that this "story" disapears the second Kavanaugh is confirmed and it can't be used to get #resistance bucks

Do you do anything here but lie?

If a second accusation is made, Kavanaugh is in trouble. Sexual deviants don't stop with one assault.

Again:

What's the source that the FBI has "dismissed" this? It's not in the article from the OP

Short answer: it's just a couple of morons who think the fact that the FBI processed the letter instead of immediately taking Kavanaugh in handcuffs means the allegation is frivolous and has no shred of legitimacy, even though this wouldn't be their jurisdiction in the first place.

There is none.  Old School Republican and Pandaguiniapig are making up stuff out of their ass.  They're Republicans, would you seriously expect anything different?

And they did the exact same thing with Porter and look what happened. The FBI's job here isn't to investigate, it is to do background checks.

That's not remotely the same thing as the FBI thinking he's innocent.

I mean, there's virtually a 0% chance that there would be any convictable evidence if he did exactly what he's accused of. What would an "investigation" even look like? Would the even be the jurisdiction of the FBI instead of local law enforcement?

Well anyway unless there is an actual corroborated accusation it shouldnt be held against him , because until that point its just a smear job .

This could be because the statute of limitations has past and it could be because it's up to local authorities to investigate.  The decision of the FBI itself to not investigate is far from conclusive evidence that they don't believe there is anything to the story.

It shouldn't be outright dismissed. You are giving a guy a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. if Republicans weren't amoral, they would slow down the process and actually look into it. But they are Republicans, so they will just charge forward.

What would Pandaguiniapig say if these accusations came out against Merrick Garland?

Oh right, Pandaguiniapig wouldn't say anything at all, because Merrick Garland never even gone a hearing in the first place.

Got it.

From what I read, it wasn't released because the alleged victim wanted confidentiality and it is obvious Republicans knew about this given their recent actions (letter of 65 woman claiming Kavanaugh did nothing to them).

I think the fact that Garland never got a hearing was totally wrong and mentioned it at the time.

Why? There is no allegation, period. Why even “investigate?” Kavanaugh has A.) Denied it B.) There was never any report other than the “letter” which could be made up C.) Brett Kavanaugh has served with distinction for 35 years since this supposed incident and has a wife and two daughters. Why drag them through the mud to “prove” an accusation that someone won’t even put their name to is untrue?

This makes me sad as a socialist and a supporter of democrats as we're just destroying our brand with unproven bs. I hate kavanaugh like the rest of the red tags but we're going to have to find real evidence or we're going to get burnt.

Destroying people like this is why we have an evidence based justice system to begin with. It is a disgrace what we're doing.

A. Most everyone accused of something wrong denies.
B. "Could be made up" isn't a good enough reason not to look into it. This man wants a lifetime court appointment and if he actually did this he shouldn't be on the court.
C. Plenty of people who have committed criminal acts have had long careers and families. Lots of
people don't want to put their name to an allegation because they are afraid for their safety, not because they are lying.

Being a socialist has nothing to do with any of this. Someone seeking a high court appointment
needs to be vetted to the highest degree and that is what the confirmation process is for.
