As a local, how do you think look there?

Much more Democratic, I work on Gillum's campaign here, there's a LOT more enthusiasm for Gillum than Nelson, I think they'll keep Volusia close, but I think in the end DeSantis and Scott will win Volusia, I do hope I am wrong though, most of the cross over vote seems to be going to Nancy Soderberg.

As a local in general who do you think EV overall looks?

Early voting is already through the roof compared to 2014, but Democrats won the in-person EV in 2014 by about 1,000 votes, right now things are looking good for us overall, but it;s still way too early to tell.

You're including VBMs that haven't returned ballots yet.

Oof yeah I just realized that.

how do you think the ev is going for dems in az and fl?

Republicans are turning out in Florida. Some people are comparing this to 2014 and Democrats are doing much better than 2014. But the election is energized and somewhere between a midterm and presidential.

Based on party registration alone I haven't been impressed at all with what Democrats have already turned out in the EV.

I mean, the GOP always turns out better in FL, the bright side is Democrats are keeping it close and based on polling, the NPA's should be breaking for Democrats

We're at 123K votes here in Volusia County, we're at 71% of 2016's early vote turnout, we can expect another 14-16k votes from in person votes and maybe another 10-15K VBM ballots, if that is the case were could be anywhere from 86-91% of 2016's early vote

Clark already hit 35K. Looks like it will top 40K, could it reach 45K?

If it does, and Democrats get a strong margin, the freiwal could come close to or hit 45K, and Democrats could come close to a statewide lead of 20K.

The Clark freiwall is getting bigger!

So does anyone know off hand what the # was for the last day of early voting in Clark County in 2016? Any chance of beating that now?

good or bad for dems?

2016 had 6.4 million votes cast early and Democrats had a lead of ~80k, in the end it all depends on how NPA's break.

Democrats are going to have a pretty good day today in Florida, looks like super high turnout in the counties that are open.

Yeah it looks pretty crazy, but Reps will have the advantage on ED according to Schale (not sure why). Hopefully Democrats can keep it close on the 6th.

Democrats tend to early vote while Republicans are more traditional and wait until actual Election Day to vote.

I have to question that CW with the special elections we've been seeing in Florida this cycle though. Democrats actually did better on e-day than in the early vote in most of the specials..

Yeah, this year has been different, I wonder if that pattern will hold this year.
