I really don't know why everyone keeps doubting the ticket splitting....it is very real, in fact i am one of the mythical beto/Abbott voters, we exist! ( just like NH swing voters)
The reason to doubt it is that in the past, there has not been much ticket splitting in Texas, whereas in a state like New Hampshire, there has been lots of substantial ticket splitting in previous elections.
It helps that Lupe Valdez is an awful candidate with an awful record at sheriff including working with ICE even though she claims to be with certain people....the NH comment was more a joke about MT Treasurer's NH views
