I don't understand why they are dreading these hearings.  These are all very valid concerns and worthy of congressional investigations, any of which would have caused GOP heads to explode had any of these been done by a Democratic president.

People say that this would all trip up governing. In this era, that would be better than the current status quo. No Government is better than Bad Government.

Yes, let's use Congress to tie up governace endlessly. 

Now I grant you that the endless investigations during the Obama years invited this.  But tying up the White House in politically-based legal problems is not my idea of good governace.

These are not politically-based legal problems. They're legal problems that happen to involve politicians and thus have a political valence.

If the voters see that American politics aren't political and both parties have a seat at the table like under Obama, where GOP demanded entitlement reforms as well as tax reform and Dems can provide wage growth, the voters would have rewarded the conservatives another term for Congress.

But, this term of Congress proved as just disasterous for the GOP as it was in 2010 for the Dems.
