Yes, let's use Congress to tie up governace endlessly.

Now I grant you that the endless investigations during the Obama years invited this.  But tying up the White House in politically-based legal problems is not my idea of good governace.

Avoidable if the GOP had quietly, behind the scenes attempted any kind of oversight and line-drawing or acting as a co-equal branch rather than enablers. They’ve made their bed.

Patently wrong, as usual.
Stopping Trump and his cronies is the epitome of good governance.

That doesn't mean it's in the best interest of the American public that they be made to lie in it, but I'm also convinced that people here are partisan to the point where they just don't care about that.

Making the American public lie in it is definitely in its best interest.

The difference being that the GOP investigations were purely political attacks and the Dem investigations will be based on very real concerns.

Can you explain to me what the downside would be in giving some basic enforcement to the government ethics rules that the Trump administration has continually flaunted? Or how it wouldn’t be good governance to enforce the Constitution’s emoluments clause?

Its not as if anything else will get done by the House; if you commit stupid crimes expect there to be consequences

The difference being that the GOP investigations were purely political attacks and the Dem investigations will be based on very real concerns.

That's an opinion, not a fact.

My younger adult son served in Afghanistan.  My wife voted for Obama twice, but the Benghazi matter affected her deeply, as the Congressional hearings came at a time where our son was on active duty in Afghanistan.  In such a position, it's a little tough to hear facts come out about a situation in a hostile foreign land explained away by a horsecrap narrative about anger over some movie or recording.

My wife, after listening to the hearings, after once being favorably disposed to HRC, and after telling me that Donald Trump was "not a nice person" became convinced that Hillary Clinton "just left those men to die" in Benghazi.  And, in truth, I am convinced that she conducted herself through that whole affair with one eye on her own career; she's just not that selfless.

So, no, Benghazi wasn't about "nothing".  The hearings were politicized, but the subject was relevant.

They had it coming!
They had it coming!
They only had themselves to blame!
If you'd have been there. If you'd have heard it.
I'm guessing you would have voted the same!

Sad to say, they (the GOP) did have it coming.

I don’t think anyone as a problem with the idea of having a Benghazi investigation. The issue was that the House GOP endlessly dragged it out for political reasons, even after it became clear there was nothing more to dig up

Most of that list I can agree with.
When there are legitimate wrongs, they must be investigated.

Good because the Democrats have been in hell since Nov. 2016 (and for Democrats who like the House, since Nov. 2010).

Frankly I wanted a fair account of what on earth happened to Chris Stevens that night in Libya. It’s a shame the GOP was trying to score points rather than get to the truth of a very serious tragedy.

Awesome list. Very much looking forward to this if Democrats take the House. Republicans have been running unchecked since January 2017.

lMy wife drew her own conclusions, and I can't blame her.

Hillary didn't care one iota for those men who died.  She didn't act as if she cared.
