Salena Zito is basically the Trump voter whisperer. She travels to the heartland claiming to interview Obama voters/Democrats who voted for Trump in 2016. It turns out many of her subjects are actually long-time Republicans.

This all would be rather humorous and pathetic, but people like Jake Tapper have her on CNN many times and allow her to promote this crap.

The point is Zito is making up stories. The people she is interviewing aren't former Democrats, they are actually Republicans (and some them have prominent roles in their state/city party)

Yeah, this is a pretty good grift she has going on here. Zito got a book deal and a Harvard fellowship out of this. To make things better, there appears to be no repercussions for her obvious fraud.
