Bantu peoples aren't native to South Africa. The only people with a legitimate gripe over stolen land are the Khoi-San peoples, as they were persecuted by invading white people and Bantus over centuries. But my guess is they won't be the recipients of the confiscated land. In fact, many people of a Bantu background are very racist against the Khoi-San.

Fair critique. I include Malema's quote because the article referenced that he was in favor of land confiscation, not because I really care about what he says about Trump. But you are right that Malema is in fact a bad actor.

The point of my post was that despite the grumblings of many that we're witnessing a "white genocide" in SA, there is zero evidence of any uptick in recent violence against whites (including the meme'd "white farmers") despite the fact that this rhetoric has been employed by the far left in Africa for years. If the State Department conducts an honest investigation and finds evidence of some militarization and actual signs of an impending explosion violence, that's a good and worthwhile investigation. But Trump is getting lampooned here because he's pretty obviously responding to conspiratorial, loosely corroborated reports by bullsh**t peddlers that overplay the level of violence we're seeing in South Africa. If you think he's ordering an investigation to be proactive instead of being reactive (reacting to garbage, that is) then you're naive.
