Yeah, I suspect that may be the case. Cohen is clearly desperate for a deal, but it is not clear that Mueller needs to give him one. Mueller already has all of Cohen's files, and there are other people that have already flipped. So while Congress will want to hear from Cohen, it may just be tough luck for Cohen in terms of getting out of what he has already plead guilty to.

They would take a shot regardless, but no need for Cohen plus lawyer to hand them first grade firearms.

If this pans out, Trump voters caught still supporting him have to be called out as anti-American.  If this turns out to be true, it will be impossible to be both a patriotic American and remain a Trump supporter; the two will be polar opposites.  This would be so much more serious than any presidential scandal in our history; a direct, coordinated attack on our country with our president being one of the willing perpetrators.

This is huge, and the accusation alone warrants the special counsel being 100% free to investigate it fully.  Any Trump tweet from this point on rebuking Mueller or his team needs to be seen by us all as nothing other than an attempt to obstruct justice and IMO such a tweet from here on out is enough to warrant impeachment and removal.
