I object. Why are we deregulating explosives and ammunition? What makes these regulations "dumb?"

With ammo, its arguably strengthening regulation as the current regulations dont actually consider whether or not ammo actually pierces armor before labeling it armor piercing which is incredibly dumb. There is no certainty in the system. Ammo that is fine for years and years can all of a sudden be declared to be armor piercing without penetrating a single vest because the current formula doesnt consider whether or not the ammo pierces armor. Under these proposed changes, ammo which pierces armor will be labeled as such.

Im hesitant to really consider fireworks as "explosives" other than in a general sense. These proposed changes dont undermine local laws about where its safe to store or launch fireworks, or if an operator's permit is required, nor do they undermine age restrictions on purchase. This just allows hobbyists to buy better fireworks if they jump through all of the hoops.
