Thank God I wasn't born into the Trump family. These people are clinical.

Actually, this sounds exactly like the relationship between George Bluth and Gob. George/Donald doesn't really show any love for Gob/Don Jr. unless George/Donald needs Gob/Don Jr. for something that serves themselves, and yet, Gob/Don Jr. is usually oblivious to this fact and constantly tries (and fails) to gain their father's approval.

As much as I love to rag on Beavis and Butthead, in some ways, I do feel sorry for them.  They grew up with a deadbeat dad who probably had little to do with them, and only showed love for them when convenient.  Once the boys were old enough to start learning about adult things, he started heaping a bunch of insurmountable expectations on them, despite their strained relationship.  If they weren't on Dad's level, there'd be hell to pay, even though their aptitudes might not be quite the same as the Mister's.

As one poster said above, we're blessed that we weren't born into the Trump Family.

People want to believe the worst of Trump.  I'll note that Trump's kids don't have the string of behavioral health issues that RFK's kids had, or Ryan O'Neal's kids had.

Trump's kids appear to be relatively stable and high achievers.  Yes, they have worked for The Donald their whole lives, but I know a number of people who had these kinds of opportunities from their Dads and screwed it up.

Commiting treason is kind of a behavioral issue.

There's a good chance I may have committed some... light treason

TBF Ethel Kennedy had to raise those eleven kids alone in the spotlight after their father was murdered

When I was a teenager, Caroline Kennedy (who's my age) had regular coverage in the National Enquirer about her activities, and how Jackie was trying to protect her and, occasionally, 'reel her in.  I remember one such article which indicated that Jackie minimized Caroline's and John, Jr's exposure to Ethel's kids.  This was the period where RFK Jr's and David Kennedy's drug addiction issues were in the media.

If Don Jr. wasn't so stupid, and convinced that he did nothing wrong with that Trump Tower meeting, he would probably be thinking to himself: "I've made a huge mistake."

I always feel bad for the kids of politicians who don’t ask for the spotlight/scrutiny, case in point Barron Trump or the Obama girls

Anyone who allows their father to speak to them like that is indeed stupid.

I feel bad for Don Jr. because the fact that he gets minimal respect from his father is becoming a national joke. Nobody deserves to have their family's dirty laundry aired like that.

But, I don't feel that bad for Don Jr., because he is an actively horrible person and does stuff like this

And before this devolves into some dumb argument about socialism, this isn't gross because he's literally taking candy from a baby, but because he's using his daughter as a prop in order to curry favor with morons on Twitter.

You know the sad thing here is that that might not even be his daughter. Considering the Trump clans propensity to rawdog randos...who knows if that's his real daughter.

I always got the sense that Eric is smarter than Junior, insofar as he knows where and when to keep his head down and mouth shut

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree regarding Deplorable Donny Junior. Politics aside, I want to feel sorry for him having such a horrible father figure but his douchebaggery makes that increasingly difficult.

I completely forgot about this! There is just so much detestable stuff that this damn family does!

Also Don Jr. has an odd obsession with using candy to make ill-informed political points. Remember when he compared illegal immigration to Skittles?

There are 50 million Trump businesses and Eric’s job is to run the winery in Virginia.

“high achiever.”
