Yeah i get it you don’t like Hillary but how is her stance fake when she supports gay marriage  but not when she supports it???

I never said that the fact she supports SSM now was real. Hell, I said the complete opposite.

Besides, the fact that she switches based on what the country and her party believes makes me skeptical of her stance on this particular issue, and starts a domino effect where I don't trust her stance on other civil issues.

LOL you're a Republican. Quit the fake outrage.

Wait, so I have to be a liberal to support SSM?
15 years ago yes, but the republicans are stil dominated by white evangelical Christians who still hate gays but keep it quite
And how do you know Hillary wasn’t always pro gay marriage but said she opposed gay marriage to win over the votes of the WWC in areas like West Virginia and Kentucky (which were her base until 2016.) Besides feminists who wanted a female president.

Wait, so I have to be a liberal to support SSM?

Your entire party is still against SSM or at the very least was against it until a few years ago and if given power eventually would roll back same-sex rights.

So because some representative from a district in my state is anti-SSM, that means that literally all 70 million of us are against it?

It's more like almost all Republican representatives are anti-SSM.

No one's forcing you to be a Republican. I mean, do you support any of these people? You're in a party where the vast majority of pols are anti-SSM, and you coming on here on an ultra-self righteous crusade over a Democrat's words from over 10 years ago is just hilarious. Just sayin'

I don't support Blum or King, and supported both of their opponents in November. In fact, I don't support a lot of Republicans. I'm not going on a moral crusade here. The original topic was about how liberals are pro-SSM, and I found the Democratic candidate for president last election cycle talking about how she's against it.

If you honestly think that you know my beliefs more than me, and that I shouldn't affiliate with a party solely based on one issue, then I would like to kindly show you the door.

Because I don't blindly support every R candidate in every race every time. I am a moderate conservative, but that doesn't mean I have to be an Indy. I do hold plenty of right-wing beliefs (pro-life, pro-small government, strict on illegal immigration), but I also hold a few left-wing beliefs (anti-death penalty, pro-doing more about climate change). To say that I can't be a Republican because I'm a moderate is absurd. Sure, there are plenty of moderates who are too full of themselves about it, but I should still be allowed to be a Republican even though I don't hate the gays.

Okay but also said you wouldn’t support trump, so why would you support his party? Also the issues you are liberal on are the ones the gop hates the most.

When I was 11 I've caused a moderate fire by throwing a burning object down the rubbish chute at my grandma's apartment building. Before you accuse me of mindless vandalism consider that my plans were more complex. You see, I was attempting to construct a bomb using a half-empty spray can, knowing it would burst due to pressure if ruptured. Having no idea how to come up with a mechanism that would make a hole from the safe distance, I simply tied a rope to serve as a fuse, lit said fuse and sent it down. I hoped the "bang" would be loud due to a chute's acoustic, but I didn't hear s**t. Still managed to have the neighbours call the fire department though.

I confess that I think "Wonder Woman" and "Black Panther" are mediocre movies and the only reason they were so overpraised by critics and movie fans is because of the novelty factor of having a woman/black superhero headlining them.

When i was 25, i drove away from Police who chased me with their sirens on. I drove around a corner onto a one way road and parked inside a business car park and ducked down. Then when they drove past at high speed, i followed their path, turned off the one way road and they had no chance of return.

Then i proceeded to work.

It was like a scene out of Mission Impossible and i knew i was going to get away because i knew the area so well.

Thats actually quite funny

Oh sure, go ahead and mock my poor engineering skills Sad

When i was 25, i drove away from Police who chased me with their sirens on. I drove around a corner onto a one way road and parked inside a business car park and ducked down. Then when they drove past at high speed, i followed their path, turned off the one way road and they had no chance of return.

Then i proceeded to work.

It was like a scene out of Mission Impossible and i knew i was going to get away because i knew the area so well.

Did they find you later? Why were they following you?

I feel downright guilty that I'm lambasting people for albeit really stupid political views, but doing it on Christmas nonetheless. Geez, badger. Whatever happened to peace on Earth and Goodwill towards ALL mankind?

Hell! I did it even in this post by calling those posts stupid! And I swore even in this line pointing it out!! And I'm in a great mood after a wonderful morning with that wife and kids and relaxing here. What is wrong with me? Tongue

( just a rhetorical question, Sanchez. You don't have to respond.) Wink

Okay, here's another. Despite my vigorous criticism of cold hearted Republicans, and I don't fall for their error of thinking charity can replace social policy, my charitable giving has been appalling these past couple years.

Admittedly, in my defense a lot of that has to do with the economics of having started a new business less than three years ago. 2 years ago was economically hard on my family, and last year was only stable. Admittedly, this year I've made more than I've ever made in my life ( which is not as impressive as it sounds considering I spent 18 of the previous 21 years in the public sector before starting my partnership 3 years ago), it still feels like any given month we are teetering between absolutely rolling in cash and my having to consider getting a second job. Tongue

Oh, I exaggerate. We're doing more than fine. It's just so new and tenuous, especially after the last two years, that I fear it could shut off with a couple bad months. And now with the economy tanking...

Well, at least that's what I tell myself to assuage my guilt. Sad
