This is coming from Mr. "Take the firearms first and then go to court" Trump.

There's something that seems very difficult for those of us outside the Trumposphere to grasp when dealing with those inside it. I'm guilty of failing to keep it in mind myself all too often.

Trump supporters don't exist in a world with objective truth or a reality built on shared understanding of that objective truth. They live in a dreamworld, a shared delusion where all that matters is the mouth-noises and pictures going to their eye- and ear-holes make them feel things. They don't care about consistency, reason, or logic.

We need to understand this, without becoming like them, if we are going to successfully oppose them and stop them from destroying our civilization.

Ironically when Booker was running against James for Mayor of Newark his suburban roots were brought up against him. The guy grew up in Harrington Park, an affluent northern Bergen County town. Such a threat!

Well, at this point the world is probably beyond laughing about the United States, instead being  shocked, dismayed, and appalled by the country's conduct. Russia is taking full advantage of the United States. Botched coronavirus response, widespread public unrest, and a head of state who at the same time regularly tweets about "Sleepy Joe" and the "Fake News Media" are not giving the impression that the U.S. is a stable, non-collapsing country either.
