And this retweet, again indicative of how Trump feels about his own advisor (seriously, you could trust both of them, and if this was a normal presidency, that's what you'd want!)

I don't remember him accusing other countries of not testing or covering up their true number of positive cases before. That's even more insane than just "more testing means more cases and only the death rate matters".

Who knows? It certainly could be. I doubt Mr. Trump has any understanding of what comes out of his mouth anymore. He belongs in a managed care facility.

All he knows at that this was supposed to be his big Presidential unifying speech (it wasn't anything of the sort, but he can't understand that either) and CNN said mean thing about it. So he's mad at them, like a toddler throws a tantrum when you take away the hammer they're breaking things with.
