How dare you take their "Hitler was right" quotes out of context!
In other news .... Republicans gather in huge numbers to chant "Jews will not replace us!"

But Junior and Dinesh insist that the Nazi Party and Democrat Party are the ones with identical platforms!

Is this a district where a Republican is likely to win under ordinary circumstances?

I know these things happen; they have even happened in Democratic Primaries.  But they usually happen in the minority party's primary where there is little interest, or where the weirdo is the only guy filing.

These things really are a function of our electoral systems which pretty much allow a Republican or a Democrat to be one if they say they are one for voting purposes.  I'm a registered Republican, so that makes me a Republican, regardless of what I think or how I vote, does it not?

No. According to the article, this district is Missouri House District 15.

HD-15 went Clinton 47.2-46.2, and Obama carried it 49.9-48. Those numbers suggest a typical Republican might have a shot, though in this environment probably would still be an underdog.

A Nazi, on the other hand, will have zero chance.

The incumbent ran unopposed in 2016 and 2014. He won it for his first term in 2012 with "only" 56%, but yeah this guy obviously won't make it competitive.

Here is State Rep. Jon Carpenter's page in the website for the Missouri House of Representatives.

https://house.mo.gov/MemberDetails.aspx?year=2018&code=R&district=015

When the state's house redistricting committee drew the map in 2011, they calculated that District 15 was about 53-54% Democratic, based on analysis of the elections in 2002-2010. My analysis of the 2012 elections revealed that the district was 56.23% Democratic that year. I haven't tried yet to calculate 2014 or 2016.

That’s the county next to mine. How freaking disgusting. The Republicans have selected yet another wonderful representative for their party.

Here are some preliminary numbers:

STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT 15 — REPUBLICAN
Precincts reporting: 17 of 17
Simon T. Abela — 422
J. Ranen Bechthold — 363
Timothy Harris — 733
Steve West — 1,485

So this was not a Republican contest (primary) where he was the only candidate.
Republicans in Missouri chose a Nazi over 3 other candidates, and by a large margin.
It's beyond real!

It's a significantly Democratic district.  Rep. Jon Carpenter (D) has been unopposed the last two (2) election cycles, and won 56-42 in an open seat in 2012.

That's not a lot of votes.  This guy snuck in and beat underfunded low-energy losers.  It's easy to do in a primary where the winner will surely lose in November.

Yet somehow you don't see Nazis winning Democratic primaries in heavily Republican districts.
Go figure.

Go figure.

It's already happened.  In 1980, KKK Leader Tom Metzger won the Democratic nomination for the House seat in CA-42, a Southern California district.  The entire Democratic Party disavowed Metzger and endorsed Republican Rep. Clair Burgener, who won easily.

The district was then heavily Republican; no Democrat was going to win, period.

Why are you creating excuses for this!
The guy was a fu**ing Nazi!
Get that through your skull. What is wrong with you?
Regardless if that candidate does or does not have a chance to win in the general, you don't vote for Nazis, pedophiles or cannibals!

Why do I get this feeling you are "indirectly" defending this guy because he is a conservative Christian (just like you did with that pedophile Christian from Alabama).

This district isn't significantly Democratic at all. Clinton only won it by 1% and Obama only won it by 1.9%
