That it's been concealed for so long makes it harder to believe that it does exist, but if it really is true that there is a N word tape from The Apprentice stashed away somewhere and if it is dropped a week before the midterm election, what do you think will happen?  We've been through this before and look what happened.  How could it really be any different from the Grab 'Em by the pussy tape?

Here's the likely scenario if the tape is released:

Sitting Republican congressmen and moderates would call Trump's use of the pejorative term "unacceptable" and "not what America's about." Marco Rubio or whoever would call for the president to apologize, which he never will. The Right and Fox News will condemn the leak itself and defend Trump's use of free expression, then pivot to how wonderful the economy is for minorities. #RacistTrump will trend on twitter for a day or so, Democratic pols will lambaste the "outrageous, racist behavior" but then promptly do nothing, and perhaps some anti-Trump demonstrations in NYC will break out. Then, within 48 hours, some other big story will take over the airwaves.

Election Day will come and not a single vote will have shifted. The GOP voters just don't care.

I wonder what president hasn't used such language. I consider this VERY presidential behavior.

Totally this and I've been saying this since before the 2016 election. Trump caught saying the "N"-word will make zero difference to his support, and may even strengthen him if democrats go overboard in their critique of him.

Good point here:

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has said the word or any other racially offensive words, but if she knew he said those things why would she still go to work for him?

I also agree that it would do nothing.  He'd simply be saying aloud what many people either want to say or say under their breaths.

What would be more damning for Trump:  a piss tape or an N tape?

The answer is neither. Both could be realeased a week before the election and it wouldn't make much difference.

No, of course not--it's August.

There are no surprises left.  Trump and the party of Trump are the party of bigots and grifters.  There has been ample evidence of this day after day, month after month, year after year.

On thing you forgot to add is when the demonstrations happen, some worthless nevertrumper conservative (likely Tom Nichols) will claim that this is the reason why Trump won. But other then that you are spot on.

I think it probably depends on what he says and how. If he calls somebody the N word, I think it will have an effect, even if the Access Hollywood tape didn't. On the other hand, if he's just saying something about the word, and in the conversation he refers to it with the actual word instead of a substitute, but it's not directed at anybody and there is no malice behind it, then I think it will have no effect even though many people will be upset regardless.

If the tape really existed, what are the chances that it wouldn't have been leaked by now?

I don't know why  people keep saying this wouldn't matter for the GOP. Sure, no one will change their minds, but it might boost black voter turnout, which is one of the worst things possible for the GOP. Why do people just go "Republicans won't care" = "Does not matter?"

It's getting to the point that all these obsessing over every offensive thing Trump has said is doing nothing but making it more acceptable to publicly say it than it might have been otherwise, rather than helping change people's minds against him.
