There are 64 districts that lean towards the Republicans, 34 that lean towards the Democrats, and 2 that are even.  Of course, the GOP hasn't been able to get its theoretically massive Senate advantage to translate to real life, so I kind of doubt that the only competition would be the difference between a filibuster-proof majority and a veto-proof majority, but still.

Bad idea to split both the Houston and DFW metro areas. A north/south split is better.

So NYC is a natural community of interest, but you split LA and SF? Blatant gerrymandering!!! California has the most natural split of just about any state--north and south. Also, Maryland is atrocious.
