This is disappointing. The Trump tariffs are not strategic at all, too broad in scope, and seem to be focused around increasing resentment rather than protecting our manufacturing base or IP. Making factories close or lay off workers is all part of the sh*tcake

He has the tariffs, which don't work in reality, but he can cite them to make his supporter think he is keeping his promises to "bring the jobs back". The best answer is, that it is a prop to keep up the charade.
