Q: The candidates in the August Republican Runoff Election for Governor are Mick Cornett and Kevin Stitt. If the election were held today, for whom would you vote?

This isn't that surprising tbh, Cornett's been having trouble getting himself out there outside of his OKC base.

This race is looking competitive, and Stitt could make this a Toss-Up. I’ll keep it as Lean R until after the primary, though.

With so many House seats becoming tossups, states like OK are becoming competitive. At the same time not all states like NV are gonna automatically go Dem, either. States dont have to vote the same way in presidential races😀

Why would Stitt be a bad general election candidate? Isn't he a generic republican in Oklahoma?

When the outgoing governor has an 11% approval, that's a bigger problem than one would expect.

I don't think Stitt, an average candidate, is guaranteed to blow the race for the GOP, but given that polls are showing the race to be a dead heat and that the incumbent Republican governor's approval rating is about the same as Ted Bundy's, Republicans need an above average candidate to avoid making the race competitive.

Republicans committing political suicide? Nothing new. If only Ward would win in Arizona primary, now that would be great.
