A Stabenow win by about high single digits is far more likely than a 15-25 point blowout.

The Trump cult effect in this race is just stunning. These Trumpanzees who voted for James are the same people who hated Obama for the color of his skin, and they voted for a man whose race they hate simply because of the Trump endorsement.

Or maybe they're not racist at all and just blindly follow whoever shares their policy positions regardless of race.

Whoa, crazy, people voting for the person they share beliefs with...

If you look at the map you’ll see what I mean. The ultra conservative and rural half of the lower peninsula voted Pensler by a wide margin. Why? Because they’re racist! The only difference between Pensler and James is race. They’re both Trump-worshipping voodoo economists. James won by Trump cultists who would vote for Nancy Pelosi if Trump endorsed her and the “I’m not racist, I voted for Ben Carson” crowd.

Wow, so they didn’t vote for someone they disagreed with, and then turned right around and voted for someone they did agree with!? F#cking crazy, man.

The only response to this post is a white girl ahrugging emoji. If Republicans don’t vote for a black man, they’re racist; if they do, they’re just hypnotized by Trump. It’s a non-falsifiable pile of spiteful gobbledygook.

I agree with you here, though my position is complicated. As a black person myself, I am well aware of the racist sentiments that have been expressed by many in the Republican base, particularly those against former President Obama. However, at the same time, it's wrong to apply the racist tag to "all Republicans", just as it is equally wrong to apply the "anti-American" or "communist" tag to all Democrats. The Democratic base certainly has its share of racists as well, and there are good and decent people on both sides of the ideological spectrum. Yes, race was, and continues to be, a major factor in many parts of the country, but applying blanket terms such as Wolverine22 has done here helps no one and only furthers the divide.

That's not how it works these days: the type of people who thought Obama for being a Black Muslim Socialist who was born in Kenya LOVE someone like James for being "one of the good ones".
