Be it resolved, the following Amendment to the Constitution of the United States after ratification of the States and a Referendum of the People,

Mr. Speaker,

Given the previous crises in regards to states being formed from states already in existence, I believe that this Amendment is sorely needed to clarify the process by which states may enter the union.  As such, I will vote in favor of this amendment and urge my fellow Patriots to do so.

I yield.

Debate having been closed, the Speaker called for a vote:

National Assembly Vote:

Moving into the final vote, the result was 38 in favor, 29 against, 3 abstentions.

Senate and President:

After a heated debate in the Senate the Statehood Amendment passed with 21 votes in favor against 13 and sent to the states for ratification.
