http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/02/magazine/02questions.html

The link is to an article from this week's New York Times Magazine (it comes with the Sunday edition). It was very interesting this week, with articles on Weld, Hillary, Spitzer, William Buckley, Jeanine Pirro. And 2 great ones on NYC's contributions to American politics and philosphy.

This 1 page interview with William Weld seriously dampened my enthusiasm for his candidacy. He comes off as aloof and snippy. I'd probably vote Spitzer anyway but I was excited just the same when the rumors about Weld started. His remarks here won't play well in New York, maybe upstate but not overall.

I really don't see anything wrong with the interview. It was pretty informal on both sides.

Dear God, he's just like Philip.

Maybe I over-reacted. But it wasn't exactly a smooth conversation. And I say this as a tepid Weld supporter.
