It wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen. The vast majority of the time, the candidate to come in first in a primary election ultimately wins any applicable run-off, but in the small percentage of cases where they don't, they often see their vote share remain relatively flat.

I can believe it. Cagle has literally went nowhere in the polls from his primary number in May. The Clay Tippins tape helped Kemp catch up and the Trump endorsement was the nail in the coffin.
