Sure, but the political climate in 2016 vs 2018 also seems to be quite different.  I suspect there will be especially a fair number of women who held their noses and voted for Jason Lewis in 2016 (or who didn't vote in 2016) who won't be prepared to do so again in 2018.

It's an indictment of MN-02 voters that this guy managed to slip by to begin with. Considering this district isn't extremely deplorable, I can only assume he managed to fly under the radar due to Trump's own awfulness muddying the waters and distracting from his own. Luckily they'll most likely rectify their mistake in November.

There was a third party candidate in MN-02 two years ago that split the vote and let Lewis squeak by. It's more of an indictment of f***ing third parties, spoiling every race they do well in. Either way, Lewis is absolutely DOA at this point, alongside Comstock and Rothfus.

Most Republicans act like they're representing Oklahoma regardless of where they come from. They haven't had to pay a price for it yet. Hopefully that'll change this year.
