It can be done tastefully.

Jokes aside, this does sound aesthetically atrocious. I can’t deny that. It’s tacky. Same with flag suits.

I mean, why do you feel it's, like, unfortunate that you're unable to deny that?  LOL, you can disagree with him on some stuff.

I disagree with him on plenty of things, but nobody listens and accuses me of blindly defending him anyway.

It won't be done tastefully. This plane is going to look like the private jet of the Statue of Liberty's pimp.

I guess I should say that it would be nice to see those disagreements make a "dent" in your usual loyalty to him.  I know you have, for instance, foreign policy disagreements with him, but they seem a much smaller factor in your opinion of him than other things - even though I remember being an anti-foreign policy hawk as one of your staples pre-Trump.

What has he done, bombing Syria aside, that has been particularly aggressive? He tore up the Iranian nuclear deal, which was bad I guess. But he's seeking detante with North Korea and Russia, he hasn't bombed Syria more than a few successful operations, isn't nearly as rabidly pro-Israel as I feared, and has embraced protectionist trade policies.

I am looking forward to this, and I like one design already circlinng around!

You can't be serious.

I agree with Trump on this, I really think we should get a cool design that really emits a strong patriotic feeling.

What could possibly be more American than that plane design? Beautiful!

The Obama Administration scrapped the YAL-1 airborne laser once testing was done. Besides Trump likely prefers mirror globes to lasers.

http://time.com/5341075/trump-air-force-one-paint/

Of course, Trump is a bullsh**tter, so who knows if this is accurate. But man the red, white, and blue color scheme is tacky.

The economy is showing the first signs of stumbling. Trump has returned from an embarrassing and unsuccessful foreign trip. His former campaign chair is in jail, and other campaign staffers facing charges. The investigation linking him and the Republicans to Russian intelligence operatives grinds relentlessly forward.

Look! He's going to paint Air Force One!

Trump on the meaning behind the colors:  "The colors are the colors of the Russian flag."

Trump on the meaning behind the colors take II:  "It should have been obvious.  I thought it would be obvious.  When I said 'Russian' I meant 'American'."

Salute, comrades.  Especially you unpatriotic black NFL players.

Actually, when the President takes one of the VC-25s somewhere as Air Force One, SOP is to send an E-4 along as backup. For that matter, while it hasn't been done since Nixon did it as a stunt during the first oil crisis, there's nothing stopping the President from taking a commercial flight along with a communication officer and fly as Executive One instead of Air Force One. For that matter, Trump could fly on a Trump Organization jet as Executive One and spare us the expense of subsidizing his golf trips such as the one he just got back from.
you may know this, but it's a fun bit of trivia.  The POTUS's call sign is always something One.  If he's flying the chopper from the WH to wherever, it's Marines One.  When Dubya landed on the carrier he was in Navy One.  When Nixon did the stunt, his call sign was Commercial One.  When "Air Force One" flies around w/out the POTUS, it has a different call sign.

Why does Trump have any say over this? The plane belongs to the military and is used to transport the sitting POTUS. The military should decide the color scheme.

If the people who end up painting the plane paint it in the order of the Russian flag, that would be the ultimate troll move.

That is hideous. If people decide to waste money repainting it, they should emulate the AA color scheme.

Executive One, not Commercial, but yeah.

If Trump flew his own jets they'd also be as Executive One.

There is nothing more American to Trump than two "good people" working out a conflict, like in that image.

New color scheme unveiled for Air Force One that discards Trump’s design.

The US Air Force unveiled a new color scheme for the new Air Force One jets under construction on Friday, doing away with the darker red, white, and blue chosen by former President Donald Trump and opting for a modernized version of the classic design of the president’s aircraft.

I like this re-design, compared to the Orange Buffoon's design.
It's just slightly different from the traditional colors, but I still like it.
Glad they chucked-out trump's changes.
