Why it matters1. Between September and October 5,500 Allied citizens and 250,000 North Koreans died fighting in the Second Korean War
2. Since December we have been in an ongoing conflict over who should control North Korea, and the casualties are much higher and climbing by the day.
Neither of these conflicts needed to occur. This doesn't even take into account the weakened diplomatic position we were put in as a result of these conflicts.
The amendment before us curtails the President's war making powers and ensures consultation with appropriate cabinet members before launching attacks. Had some of these provisions been in a place, it is very likely that we would not be in this present conflict.
Therefore I urged all Atlasians to vote Yes when it comes to your regions for ratification.
