As it looks currently, the consensus seems to lean towards Jefferson. If this passes and the final round comes up as a simple yes/no on making the name Jefferson for good and all, will you still be personally opposed to the change and favor keeping our name as The South?

If so I would like to debate you formally over the merits of change.

Thank you for your willingness, and following the ancient and honorable traditions of the region, I must inform you that part of this challenge include me slapping you across the face with my glove. I hope you understand.

Executive Order #4

Pericles is hereby appointed Secretary of Southern Wildlife, Parks and Tourism.

He will be working directly with the Governor's office to continue peace talks with raccoons and keep the issue from escalating. We will be working on a plan to increase tourism to the South and to continue making our parks the most beautiful in the nation.

Wulfric has been appointed to the vacated seat in the Chamber of Delegates. While he is new to the region, I am impressed by his activity levels and think he will provide good debate and consistency to the chamber.

Important statement by TM, please read!!

Statement from Governor Tmthforu94 on the Raccoon Crisis

Others talk, Governor TM leads! Our administration has been working very hard for the past 6 weeks to address the raccoon crisis that has been facing our region. While most politicians did not address the issue, we fought hard and showed strong leadership in working with raccoon leaders for them to back off. They now have their part of the region and we have ours. They have withdrawn from occupation of our schools, hospitals and public parks and are back into wildlife where they belong. In addition, we have greatly increased the number of southerners and doggos with the rabies vaccine to help protect from any future attacks. I attribute dog czar fhtagn for her work in promoting the rabies vaccine.

Our administration continues to monitor the issue, led by our Secretary of Southern Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Pericles. Now that our parks are safe again, we will continue to work hard to promote all of the beautiful places the South has to offer.

VOL. X | ISSUE 1
DOMESTIC AFFAIRS

Governor's Initiative Credited for Drop in Raccoon Populations
A marked reduction in the number of wild raccoons living in densely-populated urban areas is attributed to a sustained effort by the Southern governor's office to address the so-called 'armageddon' of ring-tailed bandits across large swaths of the South. Concern for the potential threat to public health posed by the rise in raccoon populations had gained regional attention following a rabies outbreak in the Kansas City greater metropolitan area that led to the deaths of three people and several dozen dogs. The governor was praised both by conservation groups and animal control departments across the South for devising a humane response to the epidemic, though some citizens expressed disappointment that the governor did not sponsor the effort to create "Regional Kill a Raccoon Day." The governor was likewise praised by conservationists for his efforts to promote tourism to regional parks and his advocacy for the new Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism.

So let me get this straight. The south has the:
Worst educational achievement in the Developed first world and certainly within Atlastia. Many of your states currently rank last in education! https://www.postandcourier.com/news/south-carolina-ranks-last-in-education-in-u-s-news/article_5a7d26c8-fe9d-11e6-9644-2bab813ed6f7.html
The 10 most and least educated states in 2018

    Tennessee. Total score: 35.52.
    Nevada. Total score: 32.84. ...
    Kentucky. Total score: 31.80.
    Alabama. Total score: 31.33.
    Arkansas. Total score: 27.18.
    Louisiana. Total score: 22.96.
    West Virginia. Total score: 21.71.
Mississippi. Total score: 21.06. Source: WalletHub.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/23/the-10-most-and-least-educated-states-in-2018.html

Worst healthcare coverage and most uninsured population in the country. Getting sick in the south is a bad idea!

https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-best-health-care/23457/
37    Missouri    49.92    29    22    43
38    Texas    49.00    26    51    35
39    West Virginia    48.37    45    5    47
40    Nevada    48.16    32    49    38
41    Tennessee    47.79    22    30    48
42    Florida    47.04    39    47    39
43    Georgia    46.51    30    50    42
44    South Carolina    46.14    49    32    41
45    Oklahoma    45.59    41    33    46
46    Alabama    44.03    44    44    44
47    North Carolina    43.98    50    46    30
48    Arkansas    43.22    37    31    50
49    Alaska    41.78    51    37    22
50    Mississippi    41.53    42    26    51
51    Louisiana    41.14    48    39    49

Worst infrastructure in the entirety of Atlastia and probably the developed world. Most of the south looks like a third world country! lol

Yet you're getting rid of the income tax and talking about coons. lol Doesn't make sense to a futurist and forward thinker like me. I try to understand but.

Mr. Matthew, I believe the best use of excess funds is to return money to The People since I trust THEM to be better stewards of their money than the government. We are also currently moving a bill through the Chamber that increases government funding of several departments, including health and education, to ensure they are properly funded. This also includes a large boost to infrastructure which will create many jobs!

Your data is based on US statistics and is not reflective of the hard work we have been doing for the past two years. As someone who actually lives in the Southern region, your insult that this region looks like a third world country is absolutely preposterous. You also show a lack of understanding of important issues facing the region if you can't comprehend the importance of the raccoon crisis!!
