It's got Sioux Falls, which is better than any place in ND, and a strip club about 50 miles west of Sioux Falls which is a lot better than any one in ND from what I've heard, even though I haven't been to any strip clubs in either state.

Fun fact about that place: It's located 3 miles away from the nearest town, which has only about 200 people. Literally in the middle of nowhere, so the issues of property values and attracting crime shouldn't come up, right?

Well, wrong. The people still whined, and passed an ordinance in the county which banned strip clubs from having liquor licenses. So the guy reopened it as a juice bar. They still whined and protested and then banned any business from having public nudity, but left a loophole open for theaters. So the place closed for a few weeks and reopened with an adult theater that plays porn movies next to it. And people are still whining and trying to shut down the place.

And complains about strip clubs are only because people don't want them in tehir neighborhoods, and most people against them are not freedom-hating prudes who can't stand that anyone else is having fun. Yeah right. Roll Eyes

Oh yeah. Admittedly SD is a little more libertarian than Minnesota on a few aspects.

For example you can buy any sort of alcohol at gas stations there. Hard liquor is freely about. Hence you can buy it at almost any time. In Minnesota they can only sell beer, wine coolers and "girly drinks" and you can't buy beer past 10 PM.

Also the drug laws are more lax, although a bipartisan group of legislators are trying to loosen our's too.

Why does alcohol have to do with my genitals?

You can also go into bars in SD if you're under 21 if there's some sort of special event like bands playing (which I once did) if they give the over 21s beer bracelets. In Minnesota the area that sells alcohol has to be sectioned off from the all ages area.
