If you believe that you are a democrat and would like to advertise that, then you probably should. If you believe that you are not a democrat or if you believe that you are a democrat but would not like to advertise that, then you probably shouldn't.

Democrats are a big tent party, and I'm sure you can find plenty of other Democrats with similar views to yours. That being said, from what I've seen of your views, you do strike me as being more an independent, at least in the American sense, than a "party" Democrat.
