Normally I'd say Polis, but boring white women are doing really well this year, so Kennedy by 2 points.

I hope it's Kennedy, but Polis has the moolah.

Voted Kennedy but expecting Polis. I'm honestly fine with either.

If the Democrat wins the general election, then it will be a first.

I think Polis will win based on what I have seen, but I have to ask, is there any difference between the two? From what I have read, they seem the same, both being on the same part of the political spectrum. Is there something I am missing, or is this just a fight between a woman and a homosexual man with a lot of money?

Jared Polis is probably going to get the nomination.

If Cary Kennedy wins, she would be the first female governor of Colorado. If Jared Polis wins, he would be the first openly gay and the first Jewish governor of Colorado. So, there's that I guess.

Kennedy is less freindly with educational reformers but isn't as far left on pot and healthcare... But I think it's more a question of priority rather than ideology.

Who wins the general election, Stapleton or Polis?
Polis. Strong candidate + Dem-friendly cycle + increasingly Dem-leaning state = Polis victory. I'm pretty confident in that.

My views as well. For the record, I plan on voting for Polis in the general election.

Yeah. I wouldn't take out a loan on a Polis victory just yet (and I don't think it's a particularly inspiring choice either way), but all trends seem to point against Stapleton.

Stapleton isn't the worst Republican on Earth but he'll be pretty easy to tie to Trump because he was a huge early proponent of the Tax Plan. Polis is a fine candidate and will easily turn out most of the Front Range to carry him. Likely D plus a few flipped seats in CO Senate and we have a new D trifecta.

Polis is kind of a dope but Stapleton isn't amazing either. All things being neutral, that means the Democrat wins by 4-5.

Stapleton also seems to have endorsed Trump on other issues as well. I don't really have any strong objections to Polis, and there are certain elements of his agenda (i.e. expanding public education programs for elementary school students, renewable energy) that I do support. He will maintain the status quo as it has largely been under Hickenlooper. I plan on voting for Polis in the general. He will probably win by high single digits, and will probably do better than Clinton did in 2016.
