Their coffee is disgusting... but then everyone in the Northeast seems to love Dunkin Donuts coffee too... I don't know what you people are gushing about.

Both are decent. Between the two, I'd choose McDonald's for coffee. The taste is better and it's frequently sold for $1 at any size. Not to mention that their remodeled locations tend to be cozy places with serviceable WiFi.

For me, the only major chain with coffee that sometimes borders on the undrinkable is Tim Horton's.

The eff? Tim Horton’s is the way to go!

Watched "The Founder" last night.

Amazing beginnings to what was always a successful business model.

Decent- and better than it has to be. I am trying to limit eating meat to when I'm a guest in someone's home, so I rarely go to McDonald's these days. But for me, McDonald's still a place I think fondly of, because of great memories with my parents, my grandparents, my friends. I suspect that's true for a lot of people.

Ray Kroc seems like an asshole in that movie.

That's what my girlfriend said. I always have this debate with her where she hates a character in a movie, but i feel the need to explain that the script writer is trying to make you feel this way..

In fact, i thought Ray was quite in love with the idea of the McDonalds brothers and gave them every freaking opportunity under the sun to become mega business moguls.

They stymied Ray at every opportunity until he nearly became bankrupt.

Then again, maybe the travelling sslesman in me yielded some sympathy for him.

I mean, both things can be true. The McDonalds brothers were stubborn and a bit too idealistic, but Ray Kroc is also kind of an asshole and screwed them over.
