swing state is fun. it's unabashedly anti-bush. and red meat for lefties. though it's not what I'd call a far-left blog. it's pretty low brow, even as 'blogs go, but it gives me a chuckle. ocassionally makes me mad, of course, and sometimes I think it's right on. they usually cite their sources, but not always. (in this day and age that's more than most.) most of it is cheerleading and advertising.
Vodka Pundit is visceral. A good read. Unorganized and ranting, but not offensively so. Not strictly politics here, but some sociology and demography as well, with the occassional dinner recipe thrown in for good measure. They piss me off and entertain me at the same time. Good sense of humor these guys have. They're also somewhat well-informed. Give decent economic analysis. They have wild mood swings from hard right to center-left, and are given to fits of neoconservative rage bordering on xenophobia at times. This one is also fairly interactive, though I have not commented personally.
red state is low key and a tad higher brow than the others, but like the others is red meat for a certain demographic; in this case, the unholy coalition of rightists, neoconservatives, hawks, traditionalists, and biblethumpers known as the Grand Ole Party. Sometimes I agree with their analysis, and sometimes they piss me off too, but when they do usually it isn't a matter of inaccuracy, but rather a matter of their intransigence. Generally well written, but obstinate in its prose. overall, it's what I'd call center-right to right, and it's mocking, very mocking, of any who disagree.
not familiar with the others, and I don't care to make a judgement on a glance. but the three I know are unscholarly garbage with varying degrees of credibility. all are fun to read, if life doesn't get in the way. hopefully at the end of mine I'll be able to honestly say I didn't spend too much time reading 'blogs.
