I am pleased to announce the engagement of Ferdinand, the King of Rome, to Princess Mary of Great Britain. The whole Empire is eager to await our new Imperial Princess and it is the hope of the Emperor and of all the Hapsburg subjects that this will mark a new page in Imperial relations with Britain.

Joseph II Hapsburg

X George III.

Announcement on the 15 Colonies

After a Royal Commission, and an intensive review, it's been decided to introduce the 1782 Representation of the America's Act, which will grant 15 parliamentary seats to each of the 15 colonies.  This in light of the the outstanding, loyal and dedicated citizens who deserve to be represented, due to their size, and their contribution to the British Aisles.

In addition to this, a new parliamentary boundary review will be conducted for British MPs, which will increase the number of parliamentary constituencies by 25 seats, in order to provide for the new industrial towns in the Midlands, and the North of England.

Parliament acts against French Aggression over Steam Engine.

In a sweeping step of new laws, the North Government announced firm and aggressive measures after blueprints for the new Watt Steam Engine where stolen by the French Government, who had previously bid for the engine. Not only was it made a capital offence to steal any patented technology, but new restrictions were placed upon French Industrial businesses.

More importantly a new so called Metropolitan Police Force was created, with a specific mandate to protect economic, and military facilities, as outlined by Parliament. In a speech later delivered in York, King George III vowed to do all possible to protect his realm, and cast the French efforts as born of 'hatred and jealousy' at our unrivaled success. Populist pamphlets, speeches and plays were also encouraged to not only boost British moral, but to also promote British Industry, whilst attacking the French.

Foreign Secretary, the Earl of Mansfield to visit Pope Adrian VIII

After negotiations with the Vatican, and Pope Adrian VIII about the status of Catholicism in Britain, a final visit has been planned by the Earl of Mansfield to address the issue of the Jesuit Order in Britain. The results of this diplomacy, and negotiation are hoped to be announced within the next year, in order to bring a final settlement that suits the interests of both parties.

'It's with great sadness that the British Government must announce that King Joseph II, in an act of rash Madness, has cancelled the betrothal between Ferdinand, King of Rome and Princess Mary. Britain has been clear in seeking to put diplomacy first in the German states, and to reach out to our former foes in Austria. Whilst Britain had hoped to forge a new era of diplomatic effort, it appears that King Joseph, in a paranoid fit of rage, seeks to hamper relations between our country.

Let history judge his cowardly action.

The Marseille Summit

In light of the recent, and worrying developments in Bavaria, and across Europe, Britain hereby invites the the Spanish Empire an emergency diplomatic summit to discuss the invasion of Portugal, and to begin a dialogue which will lead to a successful diplomatic settlement. In the interests of openness, and to show Britain's commitment to diplomacy, and dialogue in these troubling, and uncertain times.

Britain has been entrusted by Queen Maria, and the Portuguese exiles to act as fair diplomatic mediator, and in choosing a neutral venue in France, we hope to begin important work with King Charles III of Spain.

Lord North addresses the Commons: 'Let us put an end to the this Darkness'.

'I rise today, to inform the most honourable members of this fine house, that the shadow of tyranny has risen across Europe. It is a shadow that we know oh to well, a shadow that has sought in the past to crush Protestantism, a shadow that has sought to crush independent states in both the Dutch lowlands, and the Spanish Peninsula, and a shadow which would plunge our great nation, and it's interest into darkness.

So I say, no more. From this day, it is hereby the policy of His Majesty's Government to stand against the heinous acts of aggression, and barbarism by Russia. This Government was perfectly willing to negotiate the fate of the Bavarian Crown, we were in fact hoping to reach a diplomatic settlement, but then my friends, we saw the Russian shadow swallow up Europe whole. The Kingdom of Scandinavia has been breached, and a Russian Army of 40,000 men stands in Prague. This army, is a threat not just to the Kingdom of Prussia, but indeed, to every European Nation which stands for liberty, freedom and righteousness

Let us put and end to this darkness, and let us bring the fair light of British power, and liberty to the cast this shadow off Europe... (Cheers erupt) For this reason, his Majesty's Government will be sending an expeditionary force to Prussia, to protect her natural borders, and to defend her from attack by any nation who seeks to enslave her. Britain will not stand by, and let Europe fall into darkness.

Earl Bute announces new papal relationship.

'In a prepared statement delivered to various newspapers, and later announced in the House of Lords, the Earl Bute, the royal envoy to the Papacy, has announced the beginning of a series of reforms to Britain's religious, and legal system. The Earl Bute told the House of Lords,

''We are a fair, and free people in this land. We are the oldest parliamentary democracy, and both houses know too well the pains inflicted upon this nation by the Tyrants Stuarts, and we know that their legacy was one supported by the Papacy, and by Catholics in this land. But whilst we remember these pains, and the abuses by the Stuarts, we too know that their is much more at stake for this House, and indeed for the whole of Britain.

With Europe plunged into war, it is time for all of Britain, from the coasts of Cornwall, to rolling summits in the Highland. To defend the ancient liberties of Europe, it is vital, and necessary for the necessary legal, and religious reforms to be passed, to give greater freedoms and liberties to Catholic citizens living in Britain.

For this reason, our government will be accepting the offer of Pope Adrian VII, to denounce the Stuart claim to the throne, in exchange for religious reforms, and the introduction of a degree of religious liberty. Make no mistake my honourable lords, we are still, and shall be bound to our protestant faith. With this faith in hand, I pray for our honourable, and brave men who shall embark for Europe, for we can only defeat Tyranny abroad, if we have all the might of Britain at home.'

The Mad Man, the Murderer and the Despot.

A beast with three heads is rearing itself from the lands of Sardinia-Piedmont, this beast is the so called President, Pietro Verri. This beast, with his false claims of piety, and his false claims of holiness has conspired, plotted and murdered to present himself as a fake demigod- but make no mistake the people of Britain, and Europe will not fall for his rouse.

Many of my noble would have me say, that I should enter into diplomacy with Sardinia-Piedmont, but after learning of the disgusting slanders, and smears that Verri is spreading throughout Europe, it is no longer a time to be quiet. It is time for someone to speak for Britain.

Pietro Verri has accused Britain, and me personally, of conspiring to kill my own kin, King Charles III of Spain. I make no secret of the fact that I had strong disagreements with the King, and that we had strong quarrels after the failures to make peace.

But let it be laid out; the Crown, nor his Majesty's Government did not kill, or plot to kill King Charles III. We would never plot to kill a King in his own chambers; the only worth way for a King to die is on the battlefield, or in his chambers, in old age. We do not conspire in regicide, and we know that the Mad Man, the Despot and the Murderer who claims to be President, himself has engaged in these very crimes- we know that he killed Pope Adrian. Is it no wonder that the moment that Pope Adrian sought to bring Britain, and the Papacy together, in a historic deal, that he was killed by the braying mob of Sardinia-Piedmont.

Pietro Verri claims to be a man of god, yet he has the blood on his hands of who himself declared as God's Representative on Earth.

Lord North accuses Sardina-Piedmont of killing Charles III, accuses nation of also kicking up tension among Catholic Populace.

Pointing to the death of Pope Adrian, Lord North said he believed that channels had been opened with Portuguese dissidents, and that it was hoped that this would trigger a war between Spain, and Britain.
