Most of the South swung away from him. How much did it have to do with race? The south was trending Republican before Obama. Did Obama get less votes because of his race? He did well in most regions.

He won despite race. It probably cost him about 2% of the popular vote, but rather few staqtes. Maybe Missouri and Georgia... that's about it.
