Excited about De Leon. Not so excited about Villaraigosa flopping.

Something seems weird about releasing exit polls when it is still 3pm in CA. Like, you are not allowed to typically release them until polls close, only personal data in usual elections - and that is 2 hours before closing. I suspect this is a regular poll just of voters who already voted.

Most Californians vote by mail, and they have a huge sample size (12,000), so I think it has more clout than most exit polls. But some results could change as Election Day results aren’t factored in, and they’ll learn towards the Democrats.

It's an 'early results' poll; we'll see how close it is to reality tonight.

Even if Villarigosa does better than everybody expected its unlikely he will get to the second round which means the republican consolidation behind Cox worked.

I thought you couldn’t release exit polls before the polls close?

OK, Patrick Little was listed as a "civil rights advocate". LMAO

Also, I wonder where Wulfric's "top-two lockout" is now.

It's going to be a 3 way battle over 2nd place with Allen, Cox and Villaraigosa.

Except Allen & Villa will get half of the vote of Cox

Villarigosa performed about as well as I expected - that is poorly.

Newsom and him are both gross DLC political hacks but Newsom is not as stupid as Villarigosa.

Looking forward to perennial carpetbagging businessman John Cox to get wrecked in November.

Allen close behind?  The exit poll shows him ten full points behind Cox.
