Consistent with my campaign promise to appoint a Lt. Governor from the PUP, I humbly come before the Progressive Union Party to ask your preference for the Lt. Governor of Lincoln if I am elected.

Which member of the Lincoln Assembly do you suggest to be appointed?
You'll have to wait until after the election first.

I realize this. However, it can't be of detriment to have a discussion in the event of a member of a different party being elected. It is important to be prepared.

Ninja, I recognize your presidential ambitions, and wish you great success in your endeavors. However, the nominee for the PUP has been incredibly inactive and pertaining to your exchange with my other opponent RC, I encourage you to back me for the office of Lincoln Governor. It is our best chance to cooperate on important issues.

I am asking that Clyde withdraw or be disqualified from the race due to inactivity. Unless he comes online soon, I know my request was denied before, but the PUP should consider endorsing me for Governor. I will comply with their requests.

Some things I would like to suggest for our platform:
-Phasing out fossil fuel based power plants for clean and renewable sources, using a combination of solar, wind, hydro, tidal, thermal, and nuclear.
-Training programs for fossil fuel industry workers to help them become employed in modern industries.
-Modernization of Atlasian infrastructure.
-Ensuring the rights of LGBT people and reducing discrimination.
-Updating school curriculum for modern times and take steps to prevent low income students from receiving lower quality education.
-Closing tax loopholes used by corporations and the wealthy.
-Auditing government departments, particularly defense, to find and eliminate unnecessary spending.
-Streamline the immigration process to encourage legal immigration, allow those here illegally to become legal citizens, and encourage asylum seekers to come into Atlasia.
-Don't start unwarranted wars.
-Expand our global research partnerships.

I'd like to add a promise to strengthen unions in Atlasia, and specifically to make the federal government a model employer-either legislatively or via executive order. Also we should seek to reform the criminal justice system to increase the focus on rehabilitation and end mass incarceration.

Ninja, I would like to apologize on behalf of my opponent RC for his disastrous relations with the PUP. If he is elected, I will work with both parties to ensure that he does not cause too much damage to our region's stability.

I'm sorry, but this is extremely unprofessional behavior of a candidate. Spark, this crossed the line.

The only unprofessional behavior we have is him straining relations with the PUP.

Well, see, it did. No matter what RC did or did not do, Spark "apologized" on behalf of another person. I would be fine with that if Spark was connected to RC somehow and felt a need to clear things up for both himself and RC. However, Spark is not related to RC in effect (in fact, he's from the opposing party), and, thus, only apologized to score political points with the PUP base. So yes, this was extremely unprofessional, and yes, it crossed a line.

Eh, that argument doesn't strike me as particularly compelling. I get that RC is your candidate and it's your job to defend him, but oughtn't you do that by disputing the substance of Spark's statement as opposed to his (admittedly strange) use of the word 'apologize?' It just seems like an odd place to draw the line, considering all the shenanigans that are tolerated as routine.

Alright, that's fair. But I should add, I'm not doing this to defend RC (which is a whole different argument, and I will say he did go a little far with his statements), I just think in general, no matter the candidate, we shouldn't be reducing to the level of fake apologies.

That is a true apology. These quarrels should not continue in the Lincoln region. And I would just like to make the PUP aware that if I am elected, it won't transpire.
