Trump is crazy but I also see him as more of a charlatan. I can never tell if something he's saying is his own insanity or just him playing the part for his cult. He plays up the insane and stupid because he knows that's his target audience.

I'm a strong proponent of free speech, but Roseanne was getting to the point where she was "shouting fire in a movie theater", so to speak. She would tweet conspiracy theories that people might actually believe and lead to violence. This is what the founding fathers intended to be the limit of the First Amendment.

The current occupant of the White House does that on a daily basis.

I had forgotten about Kimmel's Karl Malone schtick.  I guess there's a difference between humor that's in bad taste (though I thought it was funny as I thought most of the Kimmel-Corrolla Man Show was funny, sadly Rogan and the other guy killed it) and hate.  The whole Valerie Jarrett thing was actually just a spinoff of Roseanne reciting crazed internet conspiracies about Soros, and really given Roseanne's history of regurgitating crazed internet conspiracies from Pizzagate to Seth Rich to Soros to comparing black women to apes, I guess it was inevitable that she would ultimately do herself in.  She seems like a good role model for you though.

I'm sure ABC could've kept Roseanne on the air and its audience would not have dwindled, but the difference is that the staff of Roseanne seemed to be backing away from Roseanne's constant twitter rants and ABC seemed more than happy to drop her and the show. Idk if it's because of THE LIBERAL MEDIA, or if it was just going to continue being a thing for Rosanne, or if she was just a constantly combative person who has always kind of struggled in show biz because of it and this ABC decided was a clever excuse to get rid of someone they genuinely did not like.

For the record, I really don't care that Roseanne is off the air and don't view it as some kind of victory for decency on TV *rolls my eyes until I die*. She has a million tweets like this and it's kind of odd that this one is the straw that broke the camels back. I found it odd this happened so quickly.
